Bonfire Night

Remember, remember - the fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...
Can you guess what day it is? It's Guy Fawkes Night (Bonfire Night). Hurrah!
It's the 405th anniversary of the night when Guy Fawkes and his men who unsuccessfully attempted to bomb the Houses of Parliament (underground) with 16 barrels of gunpowder and was trying to blow up King James I (who, I believe was sitting right above the gunpowder) - Guy was caught and arrested while he was about to let the gunpowder off - and then he and his crew were hung, drawn and quartered.

So, who shall be celebrating tonight to see the fireworks - I sure hope so:
Today, in the town, Edenbridge, Kent, UK (not so far from where I live) - they're planning tonight to be (not burning a Guy Fawkes model), but they'll be burning a 50ft Wayne Rooney statue who is the famous football striker for the FAMOUS football team, "Manchester United" - Edenbridge are fed up of Rooney being in the newspapers because of the gossip of him having an affair or wanting to leave United, so a 50ft statue is what they need!
